Any guesses?
I do not often take time to intentionally photograph landscapes. Anything I show you is usually something that happens when I am shooting portraits of people and see something that needs photographed. Often I forget that I even took the shot and then stumble upon it later. This is the case with this photograph that I took with a couple last fall. Occasionally I am going to post some of these images and give out free stuff for anyone who can guess where I took it. The first person to guess this one will receive a complimentary photo session valued at $100.

It's probably Draper. I don't know. What do I win?
Is it Ireland? Looks like it could be...
It is neither Ireland nor Draper. Good tries though.
I'll have look at this and guess.
I meant to say. I'll have Brian look at this and guess. I am typing with a baby on my lap.
I think Brian will get it.
Okay. Corey LOVES challenges like this! We've had fun guessing...so putting our heads together (not that it means much) our guess is Midway, Utah. (Corey has even ventured far enough to say "looking south.") Are we even close?
Nikkol and Corey have guessed correctly and won a complimentary photo session. It is Midway and I am looking south from Guardsman's Pass. I was shooting an engagement session and took that shot. Coincidentally I was stressed because I had to speed directly to Bingham Copper Mine for a commercial shoot and my computer crashed the day before and I had no where to download the images. On top of that I was scheduled to fly out to Ireland the next day and I was trying to help my wife get ready for the wedding showcase in Logan while I was in Salt Lake. I almost went grey that day.
Well, if you can handle days like that, then I say you are ready for anything! Hooray for us! That is a beautiful shot. My first guess was Coalville. But Corey said the lake between the mountains made him think Heber - so we settled on Midway. He commuted from Logan to American Fork and Park City for a little over a year so he knows the area almost as well as permanent residents! He was pretty thrilled that he figured out the direction of the shot, too. Everyone needs moments like this to make them feel good! Thanks for the challenge!
More challenges to come so if you know anybody who likes a challenge and and photos send them over.
This is a beautiful shot!
